i like this little game, i've used a similar engine once called tic-80, this looks really nice

simple little platformer, i like it, altho the running physics feel a bit too "icy" as in the friction is ice-like, and that can get you to easily fall off platforms at times, but the main thing that is jumping feels just fine, good work

Propelar responds:

Thank you!
I've gotten the sliperry complain from lots of people. I personally thought it felt "faster" so I left it in. Will make sure to adjust it in future projects! :)

good little simple game but i keep getting ko'd even when i have health which is kinda odd, dunno what could be causing this

Kof-uku responds:

The game automatically ko's you if the song finishes.
I should probably have that written, sorry about that.

Thanks for playing it!

pretty nice short game, i like how you have to set priorities to what you hold in your want (bomb, pickaxe) at times, it's a nice limitation, altho the enemies at some sections feel pointless when you can just easily run through them, not much reward besides score in killing them and they're not much of a threat besides the bats; BUT i like the simplicity of it, it's got potential, keep it up

simple but quite satisfying to play

PatAle responds:

Thx man!

i quite like it, altho it does feel like it was designed more for mobile gaming, with the way the controls work like touch controls would, i found it a bit difficult in some levels with those controls but nothing too excessive, i quite like the overall idea, music and art, good stuff overall and good work

ah and also, sometimes gravity feels a bit too slow to the game's pacing, but that's i think more of a personal preference

if you want, you could play around with the game's replayability by having different UFO's that maybe weight different/react differently to physics, that sounds like it could open a different range of moves you could pull off in levels

Fupicat responds:

Thanks for the comment! I chose mouse controls because they allow for finer control, but allowing touch input is a nice bonus.

The gravity thing was supposed to be a mechanic: the closer you are to the planet's core, the stronger and less bouncy the physics are. I agree that the gravity starts slow but I don't think that's a problem.

I did plan more modes but the Jam's time didn't allow for that.

Thanks for playing!

not bad, sound effects are a bit too piercy for my little ears tho, too high pitched

I do 3d, 2d, and game development every now and then for fun.
